History of Peacockes Solicitors

Peacockes Solicitors are a long established and well respected law firm that have been providing quality specialist legal services to the people and businesses of country New South Wales for over one hundred and fourteen years.

Peacocke Dickens and Price (as it was known until 2007) evolved out of the legal practice of McGuinn and McGuinn which was established in 1893 by Denis McGuinn senior and his brother Martin McGuinn. Their father Luke McGuinn came to Dubbo in 1861 as the Clerk of Petty Sessions.

In 1963 Peter and Gerry Peacocke bought the practice of McGuinn and McGuinn which was then operated by Frank Smith. In 1964 Peter and Gerry were joined by Ian Dickens and later also by Derek Price thus giving rise to the name under which the firm traded of Peacocke Dickens & Price for many years.

The firm is now conducted by two partners Andrew Graham and Belinda Maiden and three solicitors Peter Bartley, Amanda Webb and Shery Sidrak. Peacockes Solicitors provide a broad range of legal services from conveyancing, commercial and small business, family law, criminal, employment and litigation matters together with all core areas of legal business which are needed in country New South Wales.

With two of our six solicitors having achieved specialist accreditation through the Law Society of New South Wales we also have the ability to provide specialist legal advice which is practical and easy to understand.
